1974 Triumph TR6
“The Triumph TR6 was introduced in early 1969 as a clever redesign of the TR5/TR250 range, with Karmann of Germany responsible for the aggressive good looks. Unlike most British sports cars of the era that possessed a curvy feminine type shape, the TR6 was slab sided and chiseled. An aggressively styled squared off front end along with wide wheels and tires filling out the wheel wells gave the TR6 graceful and stylish look.”-themotoringjournalenthusiastjournal.com
This 1974 Triumph TR6 is featured in Mallard Blue with beige vinyl interior and is powered by a 2.5-liter inline 6-cylinder motor with dual Zenith Stromberg carburetors paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.
Restored over a period of time this well documented TR6 continues to show well. Although there are some scattered imperfections in the paint, it remains to have a good shine and presentation. The frame and floors of this Triumph are in good condition and well preserved.
The beige interior shows very well including a crack free dash pad and beautiful wood facia with working Smith gauges. Both the black vinyl convertible top with a plastic windows and tan convertible boot cover are in particularly good condition and free of imperfections.
The 6-cylinder engine comes to a quick start and runs well with ample power to shift effortlessly through the gear range as you experience the classic sound of a sport exhaust exiting from a British sports car.
Completing the presentation of this Triumph TR6 are silver painted 15” steel wheels with TR6 script center caps and polished chrome rings wrapped with redline radial tires.
