1969 Chevrolet Impala Convertible
“This is the 1969 Chevrolet. It can make a 1969 Something-else look a little tired. Notice the big new loop bumper. Look how beautifully it frames (and protects) the new grille. On the sides custom sculpted wheel openings. And Look! No Ventipanes. Astro Ventilation is standard on all big Chevrolets now. The instrument panel is new. The body structure is stronger… To make it look even better, park it alongside some other '69.”

This 1969 Chevrolet Impala SS 427 Convertible is one of only 2,455 Super Sports assembled for the entire 1969 model year, over all three body styles. One should question of the 2,455 Super Sports how many convertibles were made and how many are surviving today. This particular example is featured in Azure Turquoise with Parchment interior and a White convertible top. This is arguably the nicest of color combinations made.
The legendary 427 cubic inch L36 motor is factory rated at 390 hp producing 470lb-ft of torque. The motor is mated to a turbo 400 three speed automatic transmission concluding with a 12-bolt rear-end. This Impala runs smooth and shifts through the gear range with ease while producing a rhythmic rumble from the “Pypes” dual exhaust system. The engine bay is well detailed and features a chrome air cleaner and valve covers.
The Parchment interior shows well with no signs of excessive wear or fading, with a center console featuring a horseshoe shifter encased between the Strato bucket seats. Other features on this Impala SS are, power steering and brakes, power convertible top, and air conditioning.
The Azure Turquoise paint has great depth and shine and has a superb overall presentation. Upon inspection of the underside, you will find a solid frame and floor pans which have been detailed with a factory appearance.
This SS 427 Impala is riding on 15” Rally wheels wrapped with Firestone bias ply redline tires.
Are you looking for the ultimate “sleeper muscle car” loaded with creature comforts and provides open cruising, if so a 1969 Chevrolet Impala SS 427 convertible is the car you have been looking for.
