1991 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL
“The big-daddy 560 SEL was the range topper of the S-Class range. The M117 V-8 engine increased to 5.6-liters for its final variation, the largest during the W126 era… Not only was this the greatest S-Class money could buy at the time, but it's the one that ended up in most driveways of those who could afford it, mainly because it came with all the bells and whistles. Such extras included a standard power-adjustable reclining rear bench seat, heated seats, a self-leveling rear-suspension, and a limited-slip differential.” - Hagerty.com/media
This 1991 Mercedes Benz 560 SEL has only been driven 61,621 miles by its two previous owners. Regular maintenance and full-time indoor storage has left this Mercedes with no rust shown on both the body and undercarriage. The car has been repainted several years ago in the original color of Midnight Blue (Dunkelblau) and presents very well. Upon very close inspection you may find some very slight paint imperfections due to age and elements. The interior is immaculate, with no wear or discoloration to the light brown leather and carpet. The upper dash, display panel and controls present like new. Aside from a small fracture in the wood veneer near the shifter (shown in images) and fractured plastic casing on the rear seatbelt buckles the interior looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
The Mercedes is brought to a quick start with the electronic fuel injection bringing it to smooth idle. The largest Mercedes engine available for this model, the 5.6-liter V8 engine runs great and can quickly get to the factory rated max speed of 155mph, this was the fastest available full-sized vehicle in 1991. This Mercedes-Benz W126 is “The End of an Era” and viewed by many as the last model made with such precision and care.
If you are looking for a high-end car to drive in comfort or just a Sunday morning cruiser this Mercedes Benz is an excellent choice.
