1971 Triumph TR6

Like a fine English ale, Triumph's TR6 never seems to go out of style. Entertaining to drive and blessed with a mechanical honesty not seen in modern sports cars, the TR6 is a good choice for those wanting an open-air British roadster with a bit more zest than the MG B.

This 1971 Triumph TR6 was restored in the early 90's, refreshed in the early 2000s and maintained as needed since. As quoted from the previous owner this Triumph is a “great street car and a phenomenal autocross car.”

The Triumph appears to have the original 2.5-liter motor mated to a 4-speed transmission with overdrive. According to documentation provided when the motor was rebuilt it was upgraded with a few minor performance modifications that included a mild cam and Carillo rods, for reliable driving an MSD ignition was added as well.

When turning the key, you will witness a comfortable rumble coming for the stainless-steel exhaust system. This TR6 pulls strong and shifts through the gears effortlessly. The Bridgestone 195/50zr15 fronts and 205/50zr15 rear performance tires mounted to Panasport wheels keeps the Triumph on the road.

Although not perfect the British Racing Green paint shows well with a great shine which is accented perfectly against the Biscuit interior and top.
